How is NEWSAR Financed?

All team members are volunteers and we do not receive any payment for providing this service to the Police.

It costs approximately £15,000 a year to run the Team – this covers fuel and repairs for our vehicles, pagers and protective equipment for Team Members, training courses, Team equipment such as ropes, stretchers etc.

As NEWSAR is a Registered Charity and is entirely self-funding, the majority of this money is raised through street collections but we do have a number of current initiatives.

How can I help NEWSAR?

There are a number of ways that you can help NEWSAR and these include:

• Collecting and send your used Printer Cartridges and Old Mobile Phones to our recycling partners

• Collecting used stamps – donations gratefully received, please send in the post to
  NEWSAR PO Box 37, Mold. CH7 1EZ, or to arrange a local collection

• Use http://buy.at/N.E.W.S.A.R. an internet shopping site which donates part of the proceeds of the sale to the Team, at no extra cost to the buyer. So treat yourself and us at the same time!

• Join [The 200 Club] pay just £12 a year for the opportunity to win up to £100 a month

• Sponsoring the Team.

• Organising or assisting with fundraising events.

• Hosting a Collection Box.

• Give a Donation to NEWSAR either online or via the post

• Donating a piece of equipment to the Team.

• Hosting a Collection Box.

• Arranging for us to come and talk to your organisation.

• Take part in our NEWSAR Balloon Race, held annually at the [LLangollen Hot Air Balloon Festival] for the opportunity to win £50, for the balloon that travels the furthest.
