NEWSAR Supporters Group

NEWSAR is officially launching their Supporters Group on Thursday 25th November 2010 at 7:30pm at our base Moel Findeg which is located in the Kingswood Colomendy Centre for Outdoor Education, Loggerheads, Near Mold, CH7 5LB.

This evening will provide an opportunity for anyone with an interest in Mountain Rescue or a desire to assist with fundraising to find out what we do, how we operate and how to get involved. The evening will consist of various displays, an opportunity to meet members of the team, see our fleet of vehicles plus find out how you can join our Supporters Group. A buffet and tea/coffee will also be on offer.

With an ever increasing amount of call outs, NEWSAR is now a heavily relied on service within our community and is fully reliant upon its team of volunteers. We are now seeking many more volunteers to take the team forward and help us to continue to make a difference.

Can you spare a few hours each or every couple of months? Are you interested in being part of a dynamic Search and Rescue team? Can you assist with fundraising events? Would you like to get involved in organising team events / socials? Do you want to do something amazing? If so, join the Supporters Group and help save lives in our community.

By joining the Supporters Group, not only will you receive a welcome pack to include a car sticker and badge but you will also receive a membership card which will allow you discount with various stores and companies in the area. You will also receive an invitation to social events plus have the opportunity to make new friends, perhaps act as a 'pretend casualty' in one of our rescue scenarios and help us to raise much needed funds to enable the team to purchase 2 new Landrovers. All this plus much, much more!
