Volunteers Week 2016 – Meet Rachel

The latest of our volunteers to introduce themselves for Volunteers Week is Support Group member Rachel:

Aged 39.

Works as a Dementia Carer.

Has been a team member for about a month.

Rachel has wanted to join NEWSAR for the past two years as she wanted to help others, learn valuable skills and meet new people but thought that she would need a lot of skills and experience. When she learnt that she didn’t need these to become a Supporter and fundraiser, Rachel finally got the confidence and joined us.

A couple of non-NEWSAR facts about Rachel is that she is also a mum of two and a full time University student.
