8/12 – Callout to search in the Welshpool area

The team was called at 20:30 on Thursday 27/1/12 by Dyfed Powys Police to look for a missing person in the Welshpool area.

Team members made good time to the location, which is close to the southern border of our area, over 50 miles from our base near Mold.

As team members started to arrive at the search location our Search Manager was informed by the Police that the missing person had been located by a patrol, several miles away from the location where they were last seen.

This is the fifth callout for NEWSAR in seven days.  At this rate we’ll need to fundraise thousands more this year.  Fuel and maintenance for the team vehicles makes up a considerable amount of our annual running costs and it’s not getting any cheaper.

If you want to help out please see our fundraising pages.  https://newsar.org.uk/fundraising/
