CALLOUS - Fallen gentleman in Padeswood & Injured Mountain Biker in Llandegla 21.06.26
It was a busy Sunday for our volunteers. CALLOUTS - A busy few days 11.06.26
It has been a busy few days for NEWSAR, with two callouts on each of a couple of days this week. All callouts involved assisting Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust (WAST) with the extraction of patients from challenging locations, with WAST providing the primary patient care at each incident. CALLOUT - Family lost in Minera 27.05.26
On the afternoon of 27th May, North Wales Police requested our assistance to locate a family consisting of one adult, three children, and a dog who had become lost in the Minera area and were in need of water. CALLOUT - Male Casualty at Dinas Bran. 24.05.26
On the afternoon of 24th May a request came in via North Wales Police reporting a male casualty requiring assistance near the summit of Dinas Bran, Llangollen. A Sarloc Rescue PhoneFind quickly confirmed the casualty’s location and contact was made with the informant, where it became clear there were several doctors already on scene managing the casualty well. CALLOUT - Paraglider accident at Moel Yr Accre. 23.05.26
On the afternoon of 23rd May we were contacted by North Wales Police regarding a paraglider accident near the summit of Moel Yr Accre. The casualty had sustained a lower leg injury and required assistance off the hill. Welsh Ambulance Service crews were already on scene providing casualty care on our arrival. CALLOUT - Missing person in Halkyn 13.05.26 - 14.05.26
On Wednesday evening, we were contacted by North Wales Police requesting our assistance in the search for a high-risk missing person in the Halkyn area. Team members were deployed and carried out targeted foot searches throughout the evening before being stood down around midnight. CALLOUT - Casualty at Dyserth Waterfall 08.05.26
On Friday, the team was called by North Wales Police to assist Welsh Ambulance Service with a casualty above the waterfall at Dyserth. After paramedics treated and stabilised the casualty at the scene, team members carried out a careful stretcher evacuation over difficult terrain. CALLOUT - Missing person in Connah's Quay 05.05.26
On Tuesday night we were contacted by North Wales Police to assist with a missing person search in the Connah’s Quay area. Multiple teams came together, with NEWSAR tasked with inland searches. All agencies coordinated closely and worked seamlessly, resulting in a positive outcome, with the gentleman being found safe and well. CALLOUT - Fallen climber at World's End 03.05.26
On Sunday evening we were contacted by North Wales Police requesting our assistance with a climber who had taken a significant fall at Craig y Forwen. Welsh Ambulance Service assessed and stabilised the casualty on scene, and the team assisted with a stretcher carry to the waiting ambulance. CALLOUT - Overdue walker in the Berwyns 26.04.26
On Sunday evening we were contacted by @northwalespolice requesting our assistance with an overdue walker in the Berwyns. The team carried out an extensive search over difficult and steep terrain. Sadly, the individual was located by the team and recovered with the utmost care and respect. This was a long and challenging operation lasting several hours. CALLOUT - Teenager stuck on Crag near Dyserth 22.04.26
On Wednesday afternoon we were called to a quarry near Dyserth, where a teenager had become stuck on a crag. As team members mobilised, the teenager managed to self-rescue. Team members then walked him out from the crag before standing down. While travelling, one of our team members did exactly what we train for — beginning to search even before reaching the designated RV. CALLOUT - Lower leg Injury in the Berwyns. 08.04.26

CALLOUT - Dog stuck on ledge in Denbigh 06.04.26
On Monday afternoon, the team was contacted by North Wales Police to assist with an incident at a quarry near Denbigh. A dog had become stuck on a ledge, with access proving difficult due to the terrain and locked gates.
