CALLOUT - Family lost in Minera 27.05.26

On the afternoon of 27th May, North Wales Police requested our assistance to locate a family consisting of one adult, three children, and a dog who had become lost in the Minera area and were in need of water. Their SOS alert had been sent via satellite signal from an iPhone.

Initial reports suggested the family may have been near fast-flowing water. However, after further investigation, we established that they were not in immediate danger from the water and were instead located at the bottom of a valley.

Once located, the team provided the family with water and escorted them down the valley before helping them up a steep wooded embankment, where they were met by a team Land Rover and driven back to their vehicle.

Thankfully, all were in good spirits throughout — a nice slick job by everyone involved.

Our team of volunteers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days responding to those in need throughout Flintshire, Denbighshire, Wrexham & parts of Conwy & Powys.
