On Friday afternoon, the team was requested by Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust to assist a teenager who had suffered a medical episode on Moel Famau.
Several team members were quickly deployed while the remainder of the team were placed on standby in case a stretcher evacuation was required. Following assessment on scene, it was determined that the casualty could be safely transported in one of our team vehicles to an ambulance for onward travel to hospital, allowing those still travelling to the incident to be stood down.
A special mention goes to the Duke of Edinburgh group. They remained calm throughout, provided excellent care and reassurance, and gave an accurate update on the casualty's condition, which greatly assisted our responding team.
We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.

Our team of volunteers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days responding to those in need throughout Flintshire, Denbighshire, Wrexham & parts of Conwy & Powys.
