Callouts - 9th September. Providing cover for our teammates at Ogwen Valley

Callout 121: 9 Sep - Betws Y Coed. The team were called out on Saturday afternoon to support North Wales Police after a deceased person was seen in the afon Conwy near Betws. Working with colleagues from NEWSAR and the water team at Gorsaf Dan Bangor / Bangor Fire Station , the person was recovered and passed to the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust The thoughts of all team members and our colleagues are with the casualty's family and friends.

Callout 122: 9 Sep - Craig Yr Ysfa. Late on Saturday night, 2 climbers stuck in the cave on Great Gully called for help after being unable to make progress through the pitch. With the team at it's first team dinner in 3 years available team members were low so North East Wales Search and Rescue were covering for us. 6 team members, along with Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team and NEWSAR walked to the top of the route and set up a technical rope rescue system. A team member was lowered approximately 10m down through the roof of the cave and both climbers were raised up to the top of the pitch, then along a fixed line to safe ground. After a long night, all hill parties were back at base for about 0600. Diolch yn fawr for all the help from our neighbouring teams.
