NEWSAR will shortly open a recruitment window for Hill Party members.
We would like to offer prospective new volunteers the opportunity to come along to a training evening with the team.
The open evening will take place on Wednesday 22nd April 2015 starting at 19:30 and continue for around 2 hours. It will be held in the Mold area.
Please look carefully at the details on this page before considering applying. https://newsar.org.uk/about-the-team-2/recruitment/hill-party-member-recruitment/
Please also look at the structure and function of the team on the next page. In particular you should be aware that the majority of work that we do concerns missing person searches, often in rural or semi-urban areas. We do carry out some more traditional “Rescue” type work for injured and lost persons in upland areas, but it is only a minority of our work. https://newsar.org.uk/about-the-team-2/
If you have read both of the above pages carefully and are still interested in joining the team please complete the form below and we will contact you with further details of where to meet us on the 22nd April.
We should be able to answer any questions you may have at this meeting. If you are unable to make this date, don’t worry, it is not a prerequisite for entering the recruitment process.
The application form for the team will be made available on-line after the recruitment evening and you will have a month to apply.
Some further dates you may wish to keep free. Saturday 13th June – Interviews Saturday 20th June – Hill Day
