Volunteers Week 2016 – Meet Mike J

The second of our volunteers to introduce themselves for Volunteers Week is Mike J, one of our Supporters:

Aged 36

Works as a Finance Officer

Has been a member of NEWSAR for 16 months.

Joined NEWSAR as they are a great cause doing great work in the wider local community whilst being almost entirely self-funded in order to remain operational each year.

Thinks that the best thing about volunteering with the Team is being able to help raise money for NEWSAR whilst at the same time gaining a greater knowledge of all aspects of what the Team does.

One non-NEWSAR fact about Mike is that he has completed 16 successive Great North Runs (Half Marathon) since 2000 and this September, will be running his 17th in aid of NEWSAR.
