On Monday afternoon, the team was contacted by North Wales Police to assist with an incident at a quarry near Denbigh.

A dog had become stuck on a ledge, with access proving difficult due to the terrain and locked gates. Team members were deployed, forward control was established, and arrangements were made to gain access to the site.

Incidents like this can sometimes lead to owners putting themselves at risk in an attempt to help, and our role is to assist in preventing situations from escalating.

While these plans were being put in place, the situation resolved itself and the dog was able to make its own way out, reuniting safely with its owners.

We’re pleased to report a positive outcome. The owners passed on their thanks to the team and were relieved that everything was resolved safely.

Our team of volunteers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days responding to those in need throughout Flintshire, Denbighshire, Wrexham & parts of Conwy & Powys.
