NEWSAR thanks the Gresford Craft Group for their generous donation

Following the very successful 36th annual Festival of Textile Crafts in June, Gresford Craft Group made a generous donation to NEWSAR.

On Tuesday 12th July, Gresford Craft Group and NEWSAR Supporters Group (NSG) member Pat Palmer presented a cheque for £650 to NEWSAR Fundraising Officer Paul Haslam.  Paul thanked the group and talked about the number of callouts during 2015 and how the donation will help maintain NEWSAR’s rescue equipment and capability.

Gresford Craft Group is a non profit-making group which raises more than £6,000 a year for local charities. Approximately 80 members exhibited more than 400 items at the Festival, including items from the Cestrian Quilters and Penrhos Needle Lace Group.  They meet every Tuesday morning at Gresford Memorial Hall.
