Volunteers Week 2016 – Meet Mark E

6th June

The sixth of our volunteers to introduce themselves for Volunteers Week is operational team member Mark E:

Aged 55.

Works as a Hotelier.

First joined NEWSAR in 2011 but has been involved with Mountain Rescue since 2004.

Joined NEWSAR to put something back into the community.  Mark’s business is dependent on tourism and he feels it is important that we are there to help tourists and local people alike as and when required.

Thinks that the best things about volunteering with the Team are the camaraderie, the ability to work as a team during testing situations and delivering a positive response for the local community.

One non-NEWSAR fact about Mark is that he first started climbing at the age of 10 and has so far climbed on four continents.
