On Monday evening we were contacted by North Wales Police requesting our support to assist the Welsh Ambulance Service , who were responding to an incident in the Ffrith area. A lady had taken a fall and sustained a leg injury.
WAST, with assistance from our team doctors, provided patient care on scene. Following pain relief, our team carried out a stretcher extraction using a specialist stretcher wheel system, which allows a casualty to be moved safely and smoothly over uneven terrain while reducing strain on both the patient and the team.
The casualty was safely transferred to the road head and handed over to the waiting ambulance.
We wish her a speedy recovery and would like to thank our partner agencies for their continued teamwork.
Our team of volunteers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days responding to those in need throughout Flintshire, Denbighshire, Wrexham & parts of Conwy & Powys.
