CALLOUT - Lower leg injury on Moel Famau. 21.09.25

On Sunday morning, one of our team members came across a lady who had taken a fall while out with her dog, just north of Moel Famau. She had sustained a lower leg injury, and it quickly became clear that an extraction would be required.

The callout was raised through the correct channels by dialling 999 and asking for Mountain Rescue, which provided us with permission via North Wales Police to assist.

After a thorough assessment, the casualty was given pain relief, her leg was splinted, and using the stretcher and wheel, she was carefully carried over 1km off the hill to a waiting team vehicle.

She was then transferred to meet her partner for onward travel to the hospital.

We wish her a speedy recovery and thank everyone involved for their teamwork and swift response.
